Meritorious Pilot CCCP - 2nd part

    Skip,

very, very impressive collection. I saw not only airforce-badges. You also have the "Meritorious Military Navigator CCCP" and it looks authentic from the far. These aviation badges have a rarity rating "R 7", wich is extremliy high. Can you post a close up jpg?

    Look:http://soviet-awards.addr.com/titles2.htm#tit4

I tried to post my image, if it didn't work, look at: http://soviet-awards.addr.com/forum/...id=779#post779

      Hello Christian,

No problems with showing and talking about badges but please save you political remarks, like the last one here, for more suited forums. I know that you´ve already found "Der Kneipe"

          Fine badge

          Skip,

the "Meritorious Military Pilot of the CCCP" seems to be authentic, but post it to http://soviet-awards.addr.com/forum/index.php3 , there are much greater experts, than me. Congratulations to a "R 7"-rarity badge.

The other one is a cheap fake .... what did you think?

            Hello Christian,

I really don´t need to post the badge as I got it direkt from the hands of the wearer togeather with his " absolventen" or I think in english matrikulation badge also shown in this thread. He removed both from his uniform after the last Soviet parade in Wunsdorf. I paid 100$ for both, at the time nobody knew anything about Soviet badges prices, I was lucky enough to have a copy of D. Herfurths first book published by the DDR Military Press,so at least I knew what it was.
The other is a copy, but not so cheap as others I´ve seen, the man who sold it to me said it was a so called "wearers copy" I don´t know if this is true but it is very good quality and has a mint mark, anyway I can´t afford an original.

            Regards Skip
