I wanted to share my WW2 Soviet NKVD General's Visor Hat which is in overall very nice condition. Comments welcomed.

It looks like a very nice, period Soviet General's cap, but I have never seen a cap in those colors attributed to NKVD.

Do you have a reference source for that?

The NKVD General's caps of which I am aware from the period, and which I have owned, were the same design as the lower ranks cap, a brick-red cap band with a royal blue top, and the embroidered leaves in gold.
