Now this is probably the rarest MVD stuff I own, and made it into a 1st Chechen War SOBR impression!

    Gear:
NPO-SM Modul-0-Sneg winter uniform in SMK camo
    Vera Urban KKO cap
SMK Vydra-3 Vest, made by Quinta Enterprises, never heard of them before
SMK sleeping bag, which I have now put in a bag that it fits in exactly
    SMK mittens in my hand

This winter suit is what started Western collectors to call the camo SMK, as on the tag it says Specialnij Maskirovochnij Komplekt, which means something like Special camouflage complex.

    Cheers,
    Michel

2 New ones finished today, first another 2nd Chechen War MVD.
      Gear:

Reed Camo NPO-SM old type Skat coverall
      Urban Reed NPO-SM Kaskad-2 vest
      Reed NPO-SM Baul Rucksack
VSR Beret, simple model with cloth edge, narrow pattern VSR

And then an Alpha Spetsnaz loadout, probably dated early-mid 00's.
      Gear:

DPM Uniform made by Kombat in Vladikavkaz
      SRVV Spetsnaz Vest in DPM
      Snap-top holster made by Friko
Fort Redoubt Body Armor in Korean Woodland, only the cover, so nothing special to be shown with the insides
      K6-3 Titanium Helmet with Faceshield
      Halffinger gloves
      Alpha Patch in my hand

Reference photos for this last one:

      Cheers,
      Michel

Bosnian Serb police, late war, coverall was said to have come from a police officer who got it in 1995, who was the same owner of an earlier posted Blue Tigerstripe coverall.

        Gear:

Darkblue coverall, type with the zippers going down both legs
Blue Tigerstripe winter parka, some collectors call this the Mladic type parka, as he wore a green tigerstripe version of it
        Blue Tiger vest
Italian Casco Ubott helmet made for Yugo/Serb police
Blue Tiger helmet cover meant for MPC1 helmet

        Cheers,
        Michel

          Michael,
Any uniforms and helmets of those Russian troops entering Crimea recently. Like to see the helmet type.

No not yet, though I may be making something like that in a while.
I have a digital flora uniform and PMK-3 gasmask set, and there is a 6Sh92-5 vest on it's way to me, so then I would need a 6B7-1M helmet, one of the body armors used there, goggles, maybe gloves and smal details.
Though if I would make it, it will probably take quite a while to get ready, as I have quite a number of other things I am also working on, like 4 or 5 impressions that need only 1 item to arrive in the mail, and several more that I still need to find a last item for, which is sometimes proving to be quite a bit of work :P

Russian 2nd Chechen War OMON, inspired by the local MVD/OMON troops seen at Beslan in 2004.

              Gear:

Blokpost Uniform in Tigr camo, which is basically the Kamysh type pattern as made by Splav normally
Urban Kamysh Kaskad-inspired vest made by Formex
              Kamysh Formex cap

Russian 2nd Chechen War MVD Recon, possibly OBRON, I've never completely been able to narrow down who used the urban camo with the darkgreen beret.

              Gear:

NPO-SM Sneg coat and pants in Urban Reed camo, mismatched models
              ANA Grad-1 vest in kamysh
              ANA VOG belt pouch
Darkgreen beret, seen it worn tilted to either side

Here are some guys wearing the berets, together with a maroon beret, which is mostly seen tilted to the other side

I have 2 more sets ready, but I'll have to find someone that'll fit inside them, so I have to wait with pics for a bit.

              Cheers,
              Michel

Sorry for being inactive for a while, and only replying this late, but thanks a lot!
I'm trying pretty hard to make these impressions, and I'm happy to see they are liked

Here's another one, something extremely rare, I've seen a uniform like this on a photo only once.

                  Bosnian Serb Chetnik paramilitary, with:

Russian SMK camo uniform in Serb cut, color is very early series
                  Chetnik Shubara hat with badge
                  M89 camo S/VK-P body armor

I have more finished impressions already, but they don't fit me, so I'll need to get someone to put them on for a photo soon!

                  Cheers,
                  Michel

                    Michel,

Your Serbian Chetnik impression reminded me of this fellow.

Thanks again for taking the time and effort to share your exclusive collection with your fellow enthusiasts. It is much appreciated.

                    All the best,
                    TJ

P.S. - I had no idea that this pattern of camo even existed!

Thank you! and yes these hats are pretty funny, immediately making you look like an idiot when you put it on, a friend of mine calls it a fuzzy penis hat :P

Here's something new again, Russian FSB Vympel 2004/5, in Dagestan.

Sposn Partizan uniform and cap in SS-summer camo
Sposn Sbruya SVD Vest, special version from 2001 with extra pouches on and in the buttpack
Sposn Makarov leg holster, old type ripstop material
                      Soviet double pistol magazine pouch
                      Sposn Tortilla backpack, 2004 model

Haha thanks, yes I am, and probably will be for quite some time!
It's just taking a while to finish some stuff, mail process is taking forever.
And I have 3 impressions done already, but I still need to snag someone small enough that'll put them on for a photo :P

Any chance of you having current Ukraine and Russian military uniforms?

                            Scott

                            Comment

Well the modern Russian stuff is just a matter of time, modern Ukrainian not so much, as somehow the gear doesn't seem that interesting to me.
But I am already slowly making a "polite people" impression from Crimea, and I'm also trying to get a uniform as seen on the "green men" in the Donbass troops.

As for non-Ukraine-situation related modern stuff, I'm also trying to finish a 2011 Russian 34th OMSBRG mountain troop uniform.
But with my main interest being 90's and early-mid 00's, these are all progressing a bit slow.

                              Cheers,
                              Michel

You just can not help yourself can you,I predict a time when you will not be able to out do your self.Until that time comes I look forward to your next set of camo and gear.
                                Cheers Chris.
