    Any one have any info on these canteens?

    It appears to have a date on it on 195?, date if use? a commemoration?

        It is a Chinese canteen. The armed forces logo, star with the 8-1, is on it. Looks Japanese type. Either it is real Japanese canteen or copy of it. Looks to be 1951. Early PLA stuff is not easy to find.

        There are a few German M35 helmets with the same logo interesting enough.

          A friend of mine brought in containers full of stuff from China in the 80's, I am still wading thru whats left.

            I would be interested to see what else was brought back.

            Also, if there were anymore canteens, did they have the caps and the straps with them?

              Yep, this one has the cap he just found and gave me. Plenty of others that have caps and straps but not markings like this.
