    Soviet cold war era uniform?

I actually only collect NVA/DDR but I bumped into this jacket and hat for 10 euros so I bought it. Maybe I want to extend my collection to sovjet militaria. The seller told me it was a marine medical officers jacket. Is that true? Is it an item from the cold war era? I guess the hat is, because of the CCCP marking.

The hat looks suspicious. The cockarde doesn't look very original to me. Am I right? If so, what kind of cockarde should be on it?

    Thanks a lot!!!

I apologise for the large fotos, I don't seem to able to make them smaller.

The cap is for merchant marine, and the jacket is for navy daily service on deck, for a captain 1st rank (the equivalent to colonel). If it were for a medic, the stripes on the shoulderboards would be red and not black.

Real late cold War. The Cap is stamped 1991 and the blouse 1992, so after the breakdown of the Warsaw Pact.
The Cap is a Merchant Fleet, MMF - Ministerstvo Morskogo Flota SSSR the Sea Trade Ministry. The MMF was the Head Agency for 18 different Shipping companies like the North western, south, Far East etc. Fleets.
I'm not 100% sure about the Blouse but I think this Model was only used by the Military Navy and must have black boards. The tan boards are for the tan shirts. Also the Merchant fleet used a different Style of Boards with Stripes. These I know in dark blue and white.

What you mean is the MMRF river trade (fleet) ministerium and not the MMF.

The lower right matches the Blouse.
The others are Marines, Army, AF/Para
              3x Navy

Interesting piece - but in the cap badge is vritten "kombinat černomorskogo morskogo parohodstva" - "a company od Black sea sea /not river/ marine" - it looks the same company produced uniforms for both river and sea merchant navy.

Cap is a maritime school cadet's type.
River fleet cocarde was put on wrong way.
The jacket isn't Navy at all - Soviet Navy had no black jacket of this type. Probably was sewn for river fleet.
Shoulderboards are for Navy summer cream shirt.
This set was collected for sale and consists of items not related to each other.

Thanks for your replies and help. I had my doubts about the visor but it's too bad that the rest is also a put together. I want to extend my eighties GDR collection with Soviet military items. Do you guys know if there is a good website with information on soviet military uniforms (post 1945)?

Komandir RKKA, do you have a example of the right badge for the cap?

I think you can use this badge on this cap, but put it lower on it's right place.

My knowledge of the cyrillic alphabet is a bit rusty but one can learn a lot by looking at pictures, so yes it would be great to have those websites.
