New Soviet Uniform Question

Hello,
Just picked up my first Soviet Uniform on a whim. I have a few questions about how best to decorate it. The uniform looks to be dated 1978 and is a communication sergeant. The color is dark brown. What decorations, badges or medals will go best with this uniform.

Let's see....for badges
A Komsomol badge (mil version)
A Proficient servicman's badge.
maybe an Extended Service badge.
a Guards badge
NCO specialist badge

For medals:
2 or 3 of the last AF Jubilee medals
Irreproachable Service medal/s
GPW Jubilee medal/s
Lenin's B-day medal.
...more depending on when you determine what years he served.

I would find Historical Documented Images of your Uniform worn back in the day, and base the Badges etc. on that.

If it was Rocket Science I would have been arrested by the 2nd Directorate by now..
