    Just A Cheap Little Labor Victory Medal...

    Sometimes, even the most common stuff can surprise you. Rummaging around in my storage today, I uncovered this little forgotten mini-treasure. Bear with me on "scanner issues" but this one is the fabled 100%-- perfect finish, mint condition, flawless real silk ribbon...

    Going for what, something like six bucks maybe, these days? But when have you ever seen one that looks like the day it came out of its box in 1946?

      I've always liked this medal, because only it and the Moscow 1947 Jubilee come in a copper finish, among all the bus-token brass stuff.

        Yup, even the usual inverted "U" shaped suspension has been ever so carefully filed down before flashing the copper finish on to look like a true "ring"...

        This little jewel may not be "worth" much but you know...


        I know I'll be enjoying it for many, many years for just the way it is.

          "Treasure" is the right word!

          A superb example of that medal, a true gem !

          Finding such pieces among the flotsam and jetsom is one of the great joys of collecting!
