    Hungarian M50 witg camo cover

I just got this Hungarian M50 and there's this helmet cover on it with a pattern I am not familiar with. The cover seems to have been used on this helmet or one with the same shape, as it has taken the shape of the helmet's edges.
Does anyone know anything about this camo?

Thats not a pattern I ever recall seeing on a Hungarian M50. Have you removed teh cover? Any markings at all. Is the helmet itself marked?

      Michel,

That is not a Hungarian cammouflage style. As Eindecker suggests, remove the cover and look for markings inside of it. Also, a better, and less fuzzy photo of the interior of the helmet might help plus an exterior picture. Including any markings you find in the helmet.

        photo

I'll try making a photo tomorrow, because my camera will only make fuzzy pics without daylight.
I already checked the cover for markings but couldn't find any, the helmet has the standard HR markings.
Do you maybe have any idea what kind of camouflage this is? I have never seen it anywhere ever. Maybe it's a camo from another WP country with the same shape helmet or something?

          Michel,

I have not seen this camouflage pattern before. Certainly not in any WP country. However, I have WP cammo that doesn't show up in any of the reference books so that is still a possibility. The only "rain drop" pattern cammo I have seen used in WP countries is a slight variation of the East German rain drop pattern.
I'll do some more checking and get back to you.

          Regards,

          Gordon

            camo

I know a few rain patterns too, but to me this one looks like some weird splittertarn with worlds biggest "splitters"

Looks very similar to early Bulgarian camo , the rain strokes are HUGE , but the splinter pattern looks very similar to the pattern used very early by the Afghan Army , the Afghan pattern did not have the Rain . SO im Guessing Bulgarian variant maybe a small test pattern run .
But I could be totally wrong .

There could be some nearly direct copies of this pattern on ski suits yeah:P
Also mountainbiking clothes are getting the cam/glam-ouflage treatment:P
                  I have this shirt:

The camo is actually made up of fox logos

                    Gents,

Sorry to be so slow in getting back to this thread. I went through all of the cammo sites I know and found nothing even close to this pattern. Both the Czechs and the Poles used a modified East German rain pattern cammo but nothing close to this.
Here is an example of the polish pattern as worn by their paratroops.
