Bulgarian stuff!!!

The crown on the St. Alexander Commander's Cross indicates a pre-1908 issue when Ferdinand was still Prince Ferdinand. In 1908 he proclaimed himself King (Tsar), and the Bulgarian royal crown came into use.

The first one( top of the page) is actually a grand commander's badge without the crown.Family legend has it that grandpa was so annoyed with Bulgaria's actions during the Second Balkan War that he removed the crown as a protest of the action of "Foxy Ferdinand".Grandpa was Russian ,sort of,and the piece is manufactured by Kiebel of Moscow.I don't know if he ever paraded it in front of the ambassador of Bulgaria and made his point though.This was the thing to do by Russians,with Bulgarian awards, who felt Bulgaria was not helping the
panslavic movement.Legend or truth?
The commander's badge is war time piece made in Wien.

The last pictures /till now/ in this thread, why does the medal in the middle have a crown? I had never seen it this way. What is this, a special grade or the crown is added by the owner?

Hey fellas, today got a cheap cheap Mustek /scanner/ and guess what, no happier than me today

So specially for Rick, a picture of one "Christmas tree" I think I spot a Gallipoli star as well as some other big pieces among the "toys".
The picture is from a small parade for the Bravery Day /6 May/ 1918. Unfortunately not written who these officers are...
