A Soviet Parade Fanfare Trumpet

Well, the trumpet is nickel plated and looonnnggg!
It is serial numbered with a hand engraved accountability number. It has a nice maker's mark as well as a star and "CCCP" logo impressed into it.

The trumpet drape is beautifully embroidered.

It's not GPU / OGPU / NKVD / MGB or KGB, but I think it's a pretty cool thing!

I don't mind the question at all1

I found the trumpet drape on Ebay several months ago from a very god seller. It cost me $50 plus a few dollars postage.
I then found the trumpet within the last two weeks at Manion's auction site. With shipping it was less than $70. So the whole ensemble cost about $125, but personally I think that now that the pair are together, it's worth just a wee bit more !

I've had this a while, there's a thread some where with all the 'gumf' I've got for a bandsman, thats a nice banner you have to yours, mines much smaller. I've got the hat, jacket, trousers, boots, parade belt and the parade gloves.

Great set, Marcus !

I was thinking that I might try to find a uniform to go with the trumpet. I don't think it will be easy though, since most of the Soviet dealers here in the States understandably gravitate to the higher end, much sought after items, such as General officer material, etc.
That's a truly nice outfit. Thanks for posting it!
