Soviet 1947 Generals visor cap?

just picked this up out of the woodwork today. Just want to confirm what it is. From looking on this website and researching, it appears to be a 1947 Soviet army "special troops?" Generals parade visor cap. Is this true and can anyone elaborate. It is not mint, it has mothing.

It´s a very nice cap!
However, it´s post 1955; I´d say from the mid-sixties. From 1943 till 1955 a round-shaped cocarde was worn.
And your cap´s cocarde is incorrect. It should be all gilt, two piece construction and enameled red star. The one displayed in your cap is for officers, 1970-1991 type.
