    Thanks a lot you guys...these were suprisingly cheap. I got the runners badge for 3.00, and the other two as a pair for 4. , and it freaked me out when i saw the prices. Dont find many real enameled pieces even broken for that kind of money very often any more. Theres still cheap stuff out there to be found. It was not on the internet, but in a antue shop. Summers almost here, and time for us all to hunt in person, and get away from the computer . Hope you all score some great stuff this summer when on the hunt.

      Several of us here are also members of the forum to which Stebalin refers. Attached is the document for my GTO badge, which is the same as yours but a bit earlier issue (lower number of 229). Given the rate at which the Soviets disbursed their awards, I would place yours at 2-3 years after mine- at the longest. Mine was given, as you can see, in 1955. First, the outer cover of the document, bearing the image of the badge:

          Yeah, my guess is 50s era as well. The brass and hot enamel are indicative of that time frame.
          As for the price...you got a DAMN good deal! Well done!
