Hello SSgentleman - Thanks for posting your plaque. Could you please post a picture of the back of the plaque, thanks.

This plaque might have been made by either Soviet or East German manufacturers. So it will be interesting to read or see a picture of the back of the plaque.

Hi Ralph, I only know this plaque and case to have been East German manufacture and not Soviet and I have never seen one with an inscription on the back ... but then again, there has to be a first for everything and I would certainly be interested to see such examples ... Cheers, Torsten.

a picture of the presentation box. although the medal plaque measures 1 1/2" by 3 3/4" inches, it is quite heavy.

Hello SSgentleman - Thanks for the additional picture of the back of the plaque.

But what is also of interest is the presentation box you also posted which is of East German origin and assists in associating your plaque as East German.

Hello SSgentleman - I have no information of a Soviet version. As far as it is known there is no Soviet version of the Treptower plaque like the one you posted. But since you posted your plaque in the Communist forum, I thought there might have been cyrllic writing on the back of your plaque.

ok thats alrite. I am still looking for its display statue for the past few years. There is one currently in ebay selling at US$900++, which i feel it is very expensive. I will wait for one patiently within my budget. Best.
