Stencils on Messkit

I recently received this postwar "M36" Soviet messkit dated 1963. On the front and bottom of it is stenciled in white paint "122 ВАИ". I am not sure what this is abbreviation for. Is this some sort of unit marking?

ВАИ (VAI) is the acronym for voennaja avtoinspekcija, meaning Miliatary Traffic Police. Now, wether it applies here... who knows, could be...
