    Soviet sizing chart project

Hey guys, I have been thinking of doing a sizing chart project for Soviet uniforms to a higher standard than subtracting 10 from a size and guesstimating. I am talking about the sizes with 48-3 or 54-2 etc. From several tunics and shirts that I have, I have extrapolated the data compiled a chart, but would like further data to confirm, the accuracy of the chart I have compiled. If any of you have a uniform item with a size in this format, please post a picture of the tag or stamp. If not possible, just name the size, and there should also be another series of 3 or 4 numbers separated by a dash of some kind. Also, please name what the uniform item is.

    Thanks!
I will post the chart when complete and proven accurate, not now, because I don't want anybody wandering on this site and possibly being misled into buying something of a wrong size at this point.

I know I already posted this on the Soviet forum, but more intel can't hurt.

This probably doesn't help much but here goes:

Thanks Eric, but this chart AFAIK is very inaccurate... That's what I meant by the subtract ten thing. DDR and soviet clothing sizes are very close except prefix and suffix, so I guess I can put DDR sizing into the Chart too when complete it.

        BTW, Congrats on your promotion!

What I really need is a data from the size tag on Soviet uniforms in this format:

        For example,

        Soviet Army Enlisted Field Uniform

        46-3

        170-92-74

        -or-

        Soviet Navy Officer Shirt

        39-2

        164-96-78-39

A picture of a tag would be nice, but data itself is also useful. I only need to confirm whether this chart is correct as I based it off of the data on merely 2 tunics and 2 shirts, and some more would be helpful.

            For the visual learners:

What I need are pictures of tags like so, or the data in the red box as shown in these pictures. If you take a picture, no need to make a red box.

A brief description of the uniform piece the tag is from or a picture of said garment could help.

Normally, it is a tag, but sometimes this is stamped directly into the uniform piece.

Pictures 1 and 2 are tags and picture 3 is a stamp.

Normally, there is the size and another group of 3 numbers, but sometimes there are 4. I have only seen this on shirts, but it is quite possible that some closed collar tunics may have this type of sizing. In this case, I will also need the number size on the collar of the garment.
