    Russian Navy cap

    Hello
Just found this on a fleemarket.

Is there any in here ,who can tell me anything about this cap.Like age, rank and value.

I looks used ,it has sweat inside and the chinstrap is green on the backside(this tells me it has been used on/near the water).

I will first add a caveat that Red Fleet isn't really my speciality, but here is my best shot on this one:

1960's everyday/parade (its both back then) hat for a Red Fleet officer of the rank of "Captain 1st Rank".

The date is derived from both the shape of the hat, the shape of the visor and the style of the cockade.

          cap

The cap is for a senior officer; Captain 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rank. If you can, check the back of the buttons holding on the cap cord. There might be a 2 number date on the back; add a year or 2 to that and you roughly know when the cap was from. My bet is 1970's. dd

Not a bad guess on my part then

As for price, I'd probably say no more than US$50-60 given the condition
