A Mig pilot defector sold it to me he would come on base and have a table set up at the BX with Russian Items we became good friends he gave it to me and said it maybe Romanian tank helmet. Ha ha Thanks (the watch)

I'd say the red star and the red bar are painted on afterwards. Tank helmet? I would say no because I don't think any WP army used anything other then the well known tank helmet.
I have to run it past a friend but I'd say it is a 60ies helicopter/aircraft helmet. They used to put the headset over it. I think there is a picture Die Landstreitkraefte der DDR from Kopenhagen.

I don't think the helmet with funny star is Russian, but the watch is definitely Tag Heuer (if original), but I preffer Tutima "1941" for myself

I believe it is a Swiss tanker helmet. Often sold as East German.
