What is this cap badge and what if anything is it worth? i bought it years ago from Detlev as a WW2 Kommissars star for the hat.

Hi James, it is a standard Officers issue cap star. Nothing makes this special for a Political Commisar. That description was a bit much, but it could have been worn by one. Looks like the enamel is chipped at the top, so value would be about £5 max.
