Is the colour in the first picture actually a true reflection of the colour?
The capbadge suggests Militsia (of the MVD, ie police) but the colours should be grey with a red band, not grey/green with a raspberry band??
The shape of the hat doesnt in my mind allow for it being raspberry, because its a late shape hat and raspberry ended in 1969 for all branches... assuming that is that the hat badge might be wrong.
Yes the "star" on the front is worn by honour guard units only.
Militsia stuff is worth next to bugger all, so don't pay too much for it. I have a fair bit of it but I am just nuts
