I like "collectrussia.com", also known as "Atlantic Crossroads". He's out of New Jersey. I've bought a lot of stuff from him over the years, and have never been disappointed.
I'd be interested to know what other peoples' recommendations/experiences are.

Unit banners are not widely available. I can vouch for Doug Drabik. He deals primarily with cloth uniforms and standards/flags.

Yes I agree, you are chasing a very rare item there my friend...

Being very lucky in the right place with a big pile of cash is probably the only way of obtaining one, short of trying to pay off some Russian museum curator... although I believe they are trying to stop that sort of thing at last...

          WW 2 Red Army....

Hi. I tried pulling up Doug's site on my computer but the page was unavailable. I used Google to initially locate him. Do you know if his webpage is currently up and running? Mike

You can find Doug's list on:

              www.sovietgenerals.com

We need to update it, but I can tell you that he has several unit flags available at the moment (I know as I just photographed them.) Unit flags aren't a cheap hobby though!

                  WW2 Red Army...

Does Dave have flags other than the Red Cross one and the 1943 dated flag? That is all that comes up on his site.... Mike

                    flags

I have to be honest, most times these sell before they get 'over here'. Please PM me about them though; there are reasons I do not post certain ones on my site. Also, the site does need to be updated....I have some huge boxes coming in this week, then next weekend I promise (with daves help) to get it updated.

Dave is shooting some of them for a book on soviet flags that is being done by a large European collector; should be great and out next year. DD

Over the years my reaction to Doug's list is always the same:

And as for dealing with Doug:

I'd go with Collect Militaria- when I was assembling my Soviet infantry display, I ordered several items and they delivered on time and on target.

Have any of you ever done business with "Russian Island"? I came across their website for the first time recently.
It looks like they mostly specialize in Cold War and modern Russian stuff, but I was thinking about inquiring with them about a Soviet enlisted naval infantry jacket.
                            Any feedback would be appreciated!
