          I seem to recall that in the book "When Hell Froze Over" - (dont have the book anymore loaned out - never returned....) that when the Americans arrived in Norhtern Russia - several White Russian self proclaimed officers showed up with rather fantastic and clearly 'cerated' awawrds covering their chests. Perhaps this is one of them????
