    Bulgarian Generals ?

Does anyone know if there is any information to find about Bulgarian
officers during communist time 1944-1991 ?
    Books or Internet.

I am collecting Orders and medals and it would be interesting to find some info about the people who got awarded.

for example Stefan Teev Tarazov Order of Peoples Liberty 1st class in 1958 when he was Colonel ?

    All the best from Sweden

        ChristerD,

I have found good data on Bulgarian Generals up 1945 but nothing beyond that. I suggest that you post your request on the Axis Forum. They seem to have several Bulgarian collectors there.

        Regards,

        Gordon

          Hi

Till now, it is very difficult to get info on Bulgarian off and generals. Mainly for security reasons, according to the Bulgarians.

However, collecting post 1945 Bulgarian medals and awards remains quite easy and cheap.

          Best regards

          Eric

Try Steen Ammentorp. he has a WW2 Genrals website. However, if anyone has Bulgarian genrals bios-besides the DIA and CIA, it would be him. You might also try RUSI (Royal United Services Institute) as their library is superb.
I think there was a partial listing and order of battle in the U.S. government 's "Problems of Communism" magazine @ 20 years ago.

Also, try Theodor-he's Bulgarian and knows his stuff.

              Christer,

I collect Bulgarian awards and I always been interested in researching them.

Unfortunately available information is very limited.

You may be able to locate bits and pieces, but I wasn't able to come accross comprehensive reference of any kind.
