    BIG USSR medal-bar

I've got this great Soviet monster-medal-bar from ebay.

Order of the October Revolution (Serial-No.: 100712)
Order of the Red Banner of Labor (345890)
Order of the Red Banner of Labor (151142)
Order of the Badge of Honor (612216)
    Medal for Distinguished Work
Medal for heroic work during WWII
    Medal "Veteran of Labor"
    Medal "1500 years of Kiev"

I suspect the owner was a scientist or something like that; maybe a woman...?!?
    Any other opinions?

I don't have anywhere near the data base for civil/political Orders that I do for military ones, but I'd say

October Revolution was awarded December 1977-early 1978

Red Banner of Labor 151,142 = about 1946

Red Banner of Labor 345,890 = about 1955

Badge of Honor = late 1960s

indicating a solid career-- at whatever job-- lasting over 30 years, well decorated.

          Thanks for the dates Rick!
I think the October Revolution was awarded at the retirement.

Thanks Daniel. I've ever collected soviet medals too. I began my collections with USSR. I think one of my first medals was a Red Star.

Thanks paddywhack. Very cool, your order with the nearby number!
At the moment I have many strong opinions that this medal-bar is NOT authentic and was put together. After checking all ribbons I noticed that the fading only matches at the first two medals. Any opinions what to do now? Dismount the bar to single medals or to keep it as it is? Btw. with the price I payed for it it is not too sad that it wasn't worn in that combination.

Who knows who knows... Maybe it was worn or maybe not. Sadly I have no papers and soviet civilian orders are not researchable.

                        But always better as ZINK!
