Red Army Hat from Russian or Finnish Civil War?

I got this hat off line. The woman that I got it from got it from a Russian Museum. So what do you guys think?

hmmm. I was thinking that it was homemade than a moive and yes there are two different stamps on the outside liner. I think one is the museum and the other is from a Factory. I don't think this is from the Russian Civil War. Maybe Lavtian, Estonian, Luthiunian, or Finnish Civil War?

I've owned a lot of Russian Civil War militaria and have never seen anything like this before. It doesn't fit into any theme that I've ever seen that's Russian. If it is real, I've got to believe it's from another country. The inside of the hat almost looks like that of a Czech Legion hat, but otherwise the hat is no where near the same as one of theirs. Odd!

I am just getting into the Russian Civil War most the time. I deal with the mostly Spanish Civil War but I have never seem this type of hat before. Something is telling me that it is not russian made. I want to guess Finnish Civil war. Maybe a Red guard hat. It does have a museum stamp on it. I am thinking that this hat was never put on display for some reason but then again the stamp was on the outside liner not on the inside.

Real Russian Civil War militaria is tough to find. There are some good fakes out there - you really have to watch out. The "good" stuff doesn't come cheap, but it's out there! I'd try www.sovietgenerals.com and go from there.
