    Soviet Generals M1943 Parade Belts

    On my website about Victory Parade uniforms I explain that the M1943 parade belts were used for the June 1945 parade in Moscow as the new gold parade belts were not ready until Septembers victory over japan parade. The 1943 parade belts were branch colored;

    red stripes- army, including tanks / artillery
    magenta stripes-engineering and technical
    light blue-air generals

    there were rumors of royal blue for NKVD and green for NKVD frontier Troops, but neither had been seen.

    Recently one finally came over; royal blue stripes for NKVD and NKGB generals. I thought people might like to see it, so here is the photo. A freind has said he knows of a green stripe one, but i have yet to see it!
