    Soviet Uniform ID

    Hello Chaps, most of you know from the DDR section, anyway I'm after some info on the uniform pictured below. I guess it is a cadet school uniform, but which one? and a rough guess on value please....

        The SVU on the shoulderboards is for Suvorov academy cadets. These cadets are highschool-aged, prior to starting a university or "real" college-level military academy.

            These are quite rare uniforms and are for Suvorov Officer cadets who were were young cadets. The uniform came in two colours, black and white. I have a black one with idetical shoulderboards. I would say that it would be worth in the region of 60 - 70 pounds. I also have an air force cap with blue instead of red cap band for Suvorov air force cadets.
            Also, these are faked quite a lot by taking white police caps and sticking an EM parade cap badge on them. If you look at yours, you will see that the fabric is rougher mesh type of fabric, unlike the police caps which are smooth cotton.
