Website for Chinese Medals

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knows of any good sites for Chinese Medals.
I know there is a lot of fake Chinese Medals for sale at the moment and I am looking for a website that maybe identifies the fakes, or can show good pictures of original medals. Also a site which explains what each medal is for (merit, etc.)

What is the first medal in the red case for? What was it awarded for and is there fakes of this medal for sale?
Also, is it a PLA medal?

Can I answer you for usairforce?

The first medal is Chinese Merit Medal, 3rd cl. Awarded to the man who have archieved 3rd class merit. 1-3 cl merit criteria is varied from the merit significance and difficulty. It is definately PLA medals.

Maybe there is no fine english chinese medal website, but in chinese, there are many.

I have started to collect a few of the Chinese medals and I have picked up a medal the same as the one above with the award certificate to a guy in the PLA (thanks 81redstar ).
If there is any interest I will post some pics of the other Chinese medals I have got.

I am puzzled about your so-called award certificate and the medal. The medal is Merit Medal, 3cl. But the certificate is just one to award to Mr. Han Shiyou for his braveness in a construction work. It does not match the medal.

I am puzzled too....
The document clearly says that in 1979 Mr. Han Shiyou won the Merit Medal, 3rd class, for his fearless courage in carrying out repair work/construction in the face of danger. (Maybe the China-Vietnam war of 1979?)
The award is made by PLA unit 83149 and is stamped by the PLA Headquarters.
Are you saying that the style of document is not correct for a military award? Could it be possible that this was awarded to a civilian helping the army with something?
I have included a scan of the Citation without the medal so you can see where it says "3rd Class Merit Medal"

PLA awards are very confused. This is just an award document without medal. There are many many this kind of document, named "Jiang Zhuang", I don't know how to translate to English. When we were in school, we can earn many this kind of documents. Like me, I have many 'Splendid Student Document'(San Hao Xue Sheng Jiang Zhuang). These documents are just awarded to stimulate the people's work better and better. In short, your document can not match the medal. Though it is indeed 3rd merit, but it is another kind of 3rd merit, not the medal's '3rd merit'. And a detail, this document is not awarded by PLA headquaters, just the headquater of Unit 83149.

I understand your means now

The document is just a sort of encouragement award and should have a diferent 3rd class medal with it, and it is not the certificate for the military medal shown with it.
Maybe you can help me, as I would like to get the correct award certificate for the medal. Are the certificates available in China for us collectors and is it possible you could get one for me that has been awarded to a PLA man?
