    Help w/ translation please!

I purchased a small poster with a woman holding one hand high and holding a scroll with her other. There are rifles w/ bayonets held aloft behind her. The heading at the top is: родйна-мать
    30-вет!
The scroll has the heading below with what looks to be some sort of oath.
The heading of this scroll is: военная прйсяга
I hope the online keyboard I used worked right. I think this poster is WW2 era.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

Much to my chagrin, I did a quick search and found that this is The Motherland Calls! poster of which several sites offer reproductions. How can I tell if mine is old?
    Thanks!

Hi Malcolm, here is a link just in case any other forum members are not aware of which poster we are talking about:

I would try a blacklight on the paper, this is far from conclusive, but if it does glow it will be modern. These posters have been reprinted for years. Sorry I cannot offer any better advice.

      Cheers, Ade.

        poster

Genuine WWII posters, the large color ones that are so photogenic, are rare. They do show up ( i picked up a nice one of Hitler as a large beast, covered on all sides by allied bayonets), but because they are so well done they are often reproduced. I do not want to say yours is a repro without seeing it; a good measure is what you paid for it. Real posters usually start at a few hundred dollars, though fakes can also sell for this. Best bet is if you can take a digital photo of it and e-mail or post it.

Real posters have real prnters mark with dates at the bottom; some ( like the one i just picked up) have museum inventory stamps on the back.

No printers mark and it is tiny-roughly 9 and 3 quarters by 13 and 3 quarters. I got it with some old russian soldier newspapers for 25 bucks. They are probably all reproductions but I guess the poster will look decent framed. I don't have a digital camera or I would post it.
          Thanks Guys!
