Shoulder boards?

Hello and Happy Holidays to all...

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for these but here they are....A friend of mine gave me these shoulder boards and stars, he got them in Estonia several years ago....

This is an area that i don't collect, so if anyone can help me out as to what i have here it would be greatly appriecated...

This is rare the Soviet air force company officer epaulet

Hi Andy,

They are Airforce (VVS) and/or Airborne (VDV) company grade (Junior Lt. to Cpt.) shoulder boards. They would have been worn on a shirt or the "Ike style" wool jacket. The two stars per board would make the wearer a Lt. To complete them you'd need the aviation or paratrooper devices as pictured below.
