Possible Belarusian fake?

Dear All,

I was wondering if this badge, which looks like a Supreme Soviet badge, from the Republic of Belarus, could be a fake. The problem I have with this is that the type of backing is very unusual for badges from the former Soviet Union. The item is at http://cgi.ebay.com/BELARUS-NEW-DEPU...QQcmdZViewItem, being sold from Israel.

Its not a fake, just not a Soviet period badge. The auction says its a modern post-2000 issue.

It's modern Belarussian badge.

Looks OK to me, of course there will be some differences to old Soviet badges.
