    Folks, Please take a look at this badge and let me know what you think with regards to time period, maker, and approximate value on e-stand. I have absolutely no idea. When I got this there was little mention of variation only with number of spoke wheels. Thanks for your help and have a nice weekend. Robert

          Your badge looks like a variation 4. All looks good with that variation except the the sickle shouldn't overlap on the hammer. The badge should measure 46X38mm. These badges started coming out in 1942 and there were at least 10 different variations made at the mint. As for a price, you can purchase such a badge from a dealer in the US for about $50.

              Yes, although I don't have my reference handy. The "3" on the upper top stands for "zavod" or factory and the preceding "M" may be "Moscow". It basically tells where the badge and nut were made.
