Hello All -
Here is another recent find. A post 1956 era cased Medal of Military Merit. The box is a pre 1956 eara box with the addition of a sticker to cover up the old one. This set has been together from day one. Fine enamel and an early style ribbon.

And some Service to the Fatherland medals, both of these come in a regular post 1956 case with the 'new' Communist Hungarian crest (post 1956) on the box. The left one is a bronze the right is a gold - need to get the silver.

Very Nice awards. I think the Hungarians produced some very nice looking awards in their day. Here is the ribbon bar for the Medal of Military Merit. I love the device in the center.

Very nice medals! I'm surprised by the quality of the Hungarian awards, they seem to be very well made.
