Soviet Tent

Hi Folks!
Got new Soviet Tents w/o Poles from the mid 80's.
They are smelly from the Impregnation, but If the're washed they are great.
They are about 4 x 4 meters and about 2.5 meters high in the middle. The last pic comes from the Sturm Compound were the set up one with DDR Poles.
I can't wait for next Summer to set up one on the Pütnitz Show with Eastern Block Vehicles.

Is it a pain to put up as well ?, one of the funniest things I saw was a tent like this put up by 6 people( who didn't know how to put it up)... at one time they were all in it and it started to walk around... my how we did smile...
As a note...
It's likely to Sun bleech, mine started Plash coloured and is now off white! you have to watch the UV.

We have had fun putting it up each time we have used ours.

Hmmm does look familiar doesnt it!

Good luck putting it up. If you look in all the photos you will see the Soviets themselves never really cracked it either ;-)

Sturm seem to have done quite well though

Sturm has 50 people to put it up, and most of them served in the Army.
