      board

Very nice photo. I have my doubts about the boards being original to the tunic. They are M1943 service / parade boards on a M1943 white summer tunic, which is fine. But these boards seem to me to be more appropriate to an overcoat or rain coat. The large amount of space between the state seal and the button was usually done for boards that were going on coats with heavy hang down collars. Its not regulation, and the Soviets generals and marshals were well known for non-regulation items, but it is more likely that the Central Red Army Museum donated ( that is how i am assuming the museum got the tunic) the tunic to Paris and had to find boards for it.

the hypothesis of gift or lease (?) is valable, because the orders showns are correct copies
