    Dating Soviet Enameled Cap Stars

Did all WWII Soviet enameled Cap Stars have separate hammer-and-sickle-device? I did do a search on the forum but didn´t find a definite answer thought most seemed to point at the separate device-stars beeing the sole genuine WWII-pieces...

No, only M36 stars has separate hammer-and-sickle. There are a lot of enamel stars types before 1936 and also after.

Thanks for the reply! Ok, interesting! Is there a homepage or a thread where the different stars are explained?

I have this one, seems like nice quality and apart from the hammer and sickle being an integral part of the star, it seems to be of the same quality and design as the M36:s I have. Measures apr. 32 mm at its widest point and is slightly curved. Could this be a WWII-era star?

        This star is postwar.
I don't know any net source on this theme.
Usually we discuss such a stars on Red Army collectors forums.

Ok, too bad about that star. Will keep looking.

Thanks for the link, a nice help. Differenting between M39:s and M47:s seems to be a bit tricky….
