PAVN/PRC Canteens?

I've seen various types supposed to date from the Vietnam War - how to tell wartime examples from later/current types, & which are PRC, which PAVN?

Apparently the PRC also copies a lot of PAVN material for "collector" export, which confuses the matter even more.....Thanks.
