How can I preserve these helmets?

    Hello WAF collectors,

I currently have 2 old helmets that I would like to preserve. One of them is an SSH-40 made in 1956 from the metal plant in Stalingrad. The other is a Serbian/Yugoslavian helmet probably used in the Yugoslav civil wars. Unfortunately, this site won't let me post pictures. I was wondering how I could preserve the helmets more and hopefully to learn more about the helmets.

    Thank you,
    American

Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Hard to say without pictures, but assuming these helmets are in good shape with only minor signs of usage (like most post-war SSH-40's and Yugo helmets I've seen online), there's really not much to do in order to preserve them, other than keeping them in a stable environment: away from dust and direct sunlight and humidity between 40%-50%.
