Hi Juan, welcome to the forum!

These bayonets were not issued with covers. But some can be found made of canvas.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Bayonet covers

Early M/N rifles and bayonets were not set up to store the bayonet in reverse as became almost universal in the Red Army during the 2nd world war. There was some limited issue of bayonet carriers as a result. The may be found in both leather and canvas versions. I have never seen a metal scabbard for one. However the canvas type does show up in WW2 period photos if you search hard enough.

I've seen metal scabbards for the M1891 bayonet in a couple of museums in the Czech Republic.

I have no proof but I've always presumed that these are Austro-Hungarian manufacture for captured weapons.

They're just a simple tube with a spherical button on the end.

Scabbards are known made by Finland, Austria, & Germany (See ATLAS DE LA BAIONNETTE, #472).

I have a Izveshk marked Nagant bayonet in a tapered steel scabbard fitted with a leather frog that was issued to Austrian troops after being captured during World War One. Much more convenient than carrying the thing on the muzzle of your rifle but the system has a major design fault. The taper angle of both the bayonet and the interior of the scabbard is very slight and if you drop the bayonet into the scabbard it works like a self driving taper on a machine tool and it's very hard to subsequently remove the bayonet.

Very inconvenient if you need it in a hurry.
