Green West German Breadbag, WW2 Style

Because they're weren't any. The bag is the standard type but in a medium green. There also exists a DDR issue in gray. I'm unfamiliar with any other postwar bags - there may be an early Bundeswehr example?

Hi Dave I have a ton of these WWII style breadbags, DDR Grey, some green and one in tan. Some friends in Germany said the Green ones were Bundswehr and the tan ones were more of recreational thing like for outdoor activities...hiking,fishing ect.......Don't know how acurate that is

Thanks. The gray is supposed to be DDR Kampfgruppen or Polizei. It has riveted buttons. Mine is unmarked. Markings on other postwar bags?

Yes, there are sometimes markings. I have a green one that has a long number and then a word that starts with BUND......and then I can't make out the rest. Wish I had my pics to post
