can anyone tell me more about this patch? It is hand embroidered, golden on green felt and the sign above the eagle is "BMI".

You‘re right! BMI is the abbreviation for „Bundesministerium des Inneren“. But I do not know, who was wearing it and in which time period...

There was a BMI Police similar to the Polizei Deutscher Bundestag.
But I never hsaw this Style.
Here you can see many different Patches.

There was a BMI Police similar to the Polizei Deutscher Bundestag.

I don't think, that there was a BMI Police additional to the well known Police Units like BGS, BKA and Bundestagspolizei. Security for the BMI building was done by the Bundesgrenzschutz.

Thanks also for the link. I have already been in contact to the Lady who hosts the linked Website. :-)

I got hints, the the patch could be used by the "Inspekteur of the Bereitschaftspolizei" (chief of riot Police) for a short period of time in the 70ies. But I got no confirmation.
