It's a so called "Volksmarch-medal". Mutual U.S./German recreation hiking events were very popular in the 1970's - 1990's in Germany. Participants received a kind of fantasy insignia, mostly "awarded" at the following BBQ/Volksfest. It's no military award at all. To answer your question. These insignia range from 3 - 10 Euro over here - nice piece.
