Naval White Top Visor.

This i recently found in the bottom of a bag of West and East German caps, it has a white ''waffel'' type removable top and thought it look decent enough to post here for your comments

I pressume its a period made example and perhaps 1950's

Not Bundesmarine but something like Merchant Navy ?

As Nico says, could be almost anything. I don't remember seeing any visor decoration before. Markings in the interior indicate it was probably made in Kiel.
