    Trial Pattern Flight Suit?

Can this be a Trial Pattern Flight Suit?
Funny NSN, mabye combined from the Stock Group and a Contract No.?
I found the same Number with several Suits in the Net, all different Sizes and Models (A&B), all Aramide.
Whant can the "M" stands for?

    Nico,

Looks like a trial suit to me. No idea what he M stands for.

    Regards,

My Idea was "Muster" what means Sample.

Definitely a trials coverall. I have Modell A and, I think, Modell B. Both were made by Marquardt and Schulz in 1987.

From the examples I've seen, and acquired, there were two trials; 1986 and 1987. Both trials have Modell A and Modell B, all four items made by M&S. For some reason the 1987 examples do *not* say Truppenvesuch on them, but the 1986 examples *do* say Truppenversuch.

Maybe that's the reason for the added "M".

            More mystery!

I found I have four Kombis as follows:

            1986 Modell B
            1987 Modell A
            1987 Modell A
            1987 Modell B

The 1986 one is marked Truppenversuch, the 1987 types are not. The 1987 examples have the same Q number, which is different than the 1986 Q number. And here's where it gets strange... the two Modell A examples are *not* the same! That is very unusual for TrVsu items.

There seems to be four features that are at work:

            1. Oliv color vs. Blau color
            2. Smoother material vs. coarser material
            3. Waist adjustment snap on left hip vs. no adjustment on left hip
            4. Tall velcro covered pocket on right thigh vs. no pocket

There's a few minor details that are different as well, but these are pretty easy to find in pictures.

Looking at my examples and some eBay pictures, here's what I can see:

            1986 Modell A = Blau? + smooth? + waist snap + covered pocket
            1986 Modell B = Blau + coarse + waist snap + covered pocket

            1987 Modell A = Oliv + smooth + waist snap
            1987 Modell A = Blau + coarse + covered pocket
            1986 Modell B = Blau + coarse + covered pocket

I'm not sure about 1986 Modell A because I don't have one in front of me. I am going from a few pictures, some of which make it seem like it is possibly Oliv in color.
