Help with medal

Hello , can someone help me to identify this medal. A freind picked it up in a lot and I have not been able to find any info on it. The picture is not the greatest but the inscription reads as follows "FUR VERDIENSTE UM DEUTSCHLAND"
If this is not the correct forum for this one could you advise where to post it.

Probably post-WW1 era and a commemorative/patriotic piece. Try it in the Imperial section, might get some traction there.
