    Duffel Bag Bundeswehr UN ?

    Hi, mates !

Is this an "Seesack", or, an "Bekleidunssack", used in the, (specific !), UN, (United Nation´s), units/forces of the BW ?

    Thx. in advance,
    R.

NO, everybody got them after the first, US Style Bag was to small for the larger amount of Clothing they got. This Style was used for a very long time.
Old ones can be found with the Cord, newer ones have just the Eyelets, closed and locked by the "Verschlussbügel". Older of them for the Padlock, newer ones with the Simplex Hook.

BTW: The Official Term is Bekleidungssack, at least that's what's marked on the Boxes.
I had some of them, marked as "Bekleidungssack, ausgabefertig" means, the Bag, complete with the Verschlussbügel, just to take out of the Box, ready for Issue.

Talked to a Friend today who's active in the Army Command and he told me that the German Army wouldn't have used UN for United Nations, but a VN for Vereinte Nationen if abbreviated.
