    Meldetasche Contents?

    is there a packing list of contents for the green vinyl Bw Meldetasche (mapcase)? I have searched, but only find lists for the early leather ones and ZB. Want to complete one in my collection, but it rare seem to encounter them with contents except ruler.

    I would assume, that it likely included: Meldeblock, various pencils and pens, eraser and/or sharpener and ruler. Anything else like various map measuring tools, etc.?

    Regards

    Patchmeister Klaus ;
    I know nothing about the official contents but wouldn't it depend on what the function is of the person who uses it ?
    I can imagine a liaison officer or a messenger carries different contents than an artillery NCO or officer.
    In the case of artillery or cavalry contents even can differ from what kind of armory or weapon this person deals with.
    For me it would be fun to fill it as diverse as possible mixing with civilian items as well like a couple of Mont Blanc pens and a stopwatch.
    Bubble gum,compass,small stack of toilet paper (priceless when needed),pocket bible etc etc.
    Good luck filling it.

      I look for infos for use on Gruppe level of infantry units like for Gruppenführer or Truppführer (not always issued from what I understand, depend on the assignment).

      Currently I will assume: pencils (various colours), pen, eraser, ruler, Meldeblock/maps and a KW Satz (if maps are carried). Compass was to carry in the pocket.

        In addition to the items listed before (that are all 100% correct) I remember a "Din A 5" block of translucent drawing paper with grid that was mandatory for all Kartenmeldetaschen in use in our unit. Will see if I can find one of those again.

          The map cases were delivered empty and there were no fix vontents for them. The common content were a ruler, rubber, pencils in black, red and blue. Also we had 1-2 message pads and maybe maps in it. But evenry NCO/officer had its own way to pack them.

          I don´t have the AnlBLAAN for the map case at hand. I don´t know if there were items ordered, but in my 12 years we only got the map cases empty and returned them empty to the depots.

            danke! This is exactly the infos, that I search for. Could not find anything in my German sources and suspected, that this was the case.
