Bavarian Sports Badge

Hi,

I would like to know your opinions about this Bavarian Sport-Leistungs Abzeichen in Silver. Dimensions cca 30 x 40 mm.
Is it 1st version (Fassung) awarded only between 1949 -51, as I suppose?

Miro,

Here is a link on the early sports badges such as your Bavarian SLA badge and the LSA badge used by Baden-Wurttemberg. These badges were largely replaced by the DSB badge after 1952 but I think the Bavarian SLA can still be worn.

Of course these badges replaced most of the pre-war and wartime sports badges and some could be had as replacements for those earlier badges or awarded as newly tested sports skills after 1945.
