Overseas cap

Hi all

this is an overseas cap that I've just found this morning. I don't know that kind of things so I request some informations from you : service branch and period ? 60's ? 70's ?

The only info in it is the name of the guy. No tag at all.

It´s an early 60ies made private purchase cap for Heer soldiers, more exactly it`s pre `63 because of the missing piping, private purchase because of the making, the missing label and the use of metall insigia. And because of the missing piping it is not possible to tell the branch of service(afterwards every branch had its specific olour at the headgear until the mid 70ies. But it can`t be from the 70ies because of its dark grey colour).

As it is custom made + with metal gear it was most possible worn by an senior NCO ...

Thank you very much for these informations, I know what I own now. Glad to see that it is a pre 1963 cap, making it early.
