Berlin Pin with Bell?

Gentlemen,

Does anyone have any idea of the significance of the bell on this small pin marked BERLIN and made by FEHLOV BERLIN?

Hi Gordon,

that bell is the "Freiheitsglocke" wich hangs since 1950 in the city hall of Schöneberg (Rathaus Schöneberg).
By that time Rathaus Schöneberg was the main city hall of West Berlin.

Actually the idea behind the "Freedom Bell" was born in 1949 in the USA.....read here for more info:
