Standard issue BW beret from 1959 through some time in the 1960s. I'm not exactly sure. There are two types. The earlier type has a leather sweatband, as yours does, the latter type have a cloth sweatband.

This one is a leather band.

For armoured vehicle crews in 1960s. There was both soft beret like this and a crash beret issued. I am not sure why both, maybe someone else know.
